The EDI-Log, which is located in EDI in the Environment menu, allows users to monitor data transmissions from interfaces for all files of a client.
The EDI-Log displays all messages that were sent as well as technical responses.

EDI-Log

The EDI-Log tab corresponds to the tab EDI-Log in the Services Tab in the order.

If the tab is activated in the service order, the current reference number is pre-assigned and the search is started automatically.

Interfaces

This has already been implemented for the following interfaces:

  • IMP
  • BIT
  • 40FT
  • AC03
  • FCL Logistik
  • FAIR@Link
FieldDescription
ProviderSelect an interface.
Direction

The direction indicates whether the message is outgoing (O) or incoming (I).

Status

The following status are available:

  • INPROGRESS
  • REPROCESS
  • WAITING
  • DONE
Code

Code [1] = OK is set if the sending procedure or response was successfully processed.

The dataset is indicated with code [-1] = ERROR in case of error. A detailed error message is displayed on the Log sub tab.

Details sub tab

Here you can see the actual EDI messages.

This also includes the original file stored on the File tab.

Responses to the user

For the standard interfaces IMP, BIT, FAIR@Link (from the truck manifest + XML to the partner), status requirements as well as interfaces from the Services tab, a dataset is entered into the table EDI-Log in ENVIRONMENT → EDI (edimonitor_t) upon sending the requests from TMS. The system saves the login of the user who sent the data.

The standard interfaces mentioned above process the existing datasets in the EDI-Log and do not record datasets themselves.
When processing responses (status messages from the provider), the interface automatically determines the (edimonitor_t) dataset of the sending process.

If you would like to send emails about the response according to settings in the Status events, the last login is pre-assigned as the recipient.

Interfaces that have their own login in the send tables are not affected (e.g. OceanBooking, AFR and TPAs for FAIR@Link).
