The term Tour templates includes the creation of tour templates and tour sets, and the search and selection of recurring tours.

Data sets and functions are necessary in the 3 following modules to create tours for a specific timeframe:

  • Tour schedule
  • Tour template
  • Tour search
The tour schedule and template can be found in the basic data Road and in the environment menu in the order mode Road.
The tour search is only available in the order mode Road.

Create a Tour template

In the tour template module, tours are combined to sets.
You can specifically create tour templates for individual employees, for a main and/or sub department, or an own branch.

The tour template module looks as follows:

Field

Description

Template name

It is recommended to use a template name as informative as possible.

Employee

Entry of the employee to whom the template applies.
→ This is a search criterion.

Branch

Specification of the branch to which the template applies.
→ This is a search criterion.

Main department

Specification of the main department to which the template applies.
→ This is a search criterion.

Sub department

Specification of the sub department to which the template applies.
→ This is a search criterion.

In the lower section, you can add tours to the tour template.

For this, select the context menu entry Search tour templates.
A search mask opens.

→ This search mask is created after the tour schedule.

→ Search your tour and set a checkmark into the box in front of the tour name.
→ Confirm with OK.

The selected tours are added to the current tour template.

Create tours from the tour search – limit time leg

Open the Tour search from the Road menu.

The two date fields in the header of the search area are of great importance for the tour creation.
Limit the required tours using the fields From date - To date.

These date fields check the validity of the tours, i.e. only tours and tour templates are found that are valid in this timeframe.

All found tours are created in this limited timeframe, namely on all weekdays deposited in the respective tour.

Mark the selected tours with a checkmark and select the context menu entry Create Tours.

Without a valid time leg a CargoSoft message appears after you have selected the entry Create tour.

Select sector and departments

A mask opens, where you can indicate the sector, the main and sub department.

The fields are preassigned from the employee basic data.
It is also indicated how many tours are created.

Confirm with OK to record the tours as files.

You generally have the option to search for every tour or tour template.
However, it is recommended to use the option of the search save to be able to search for tours and templates in a fast and efficient manner corresponding to your work profile.

→ Pls see Status setzen im Roadmodul.

Created tours

Based on the validity period and the days of the week specified in the tour template, a corresponding number of tours was created (here 3 for the weekdays Mon, Wed, Fri).

Open new created tour

The Tour name, the Outbound hub, the Inbound hub, the tour type and the Sector are preset in the new tour according to the line selected in the tour template.
