Before a shipment is loaded onto the airplane, it must be guaranteed that the shipment is air cargo safe.

This can be ensured in various ways.
For example, by following the complete secure supply chain rules or by other measures, such as the x-ray of the shipment.

The address data of the regulated agents and known senders are made available as a download (XML) in the Union database.

This database can be imported into the TMS. A check is made against the imported database.

A check for each address can be conducted at any time in the order. The result appears next to the address field.

  • The application uses the validation number from the basic data ADDRESSES → Security tab for the check.
Defined addresses are checked automatically. The check can also be started manually.
  • The validation result is displayed to the user in the TMS next to the address field.
  • The result (screenshot of the determined address including XML file name including date) is stored in the eFile (if the eFile is active) and an entry is made in the SYS log.

Check addresses automatically

Precondition for the automatic check of an address is the activation of the automatism in the basic data.
Here you can select which address(es) is/are automatically checked in the order.

The automatic check is done in the AWB types IATA, HAWB and MASTER (Master of the B2B).

The addresses are automatically checked against the EU database as soon as they are entered in the corresponding address field.

The check is carried out every time an order is opened, until the security status is set.

All information about the result or missing authorisations, etc., appear as in the manual check.

All addresses can be checked manually at any time.

Enable automatic check

AIRFREIGHT → AIR PARAMETER

In the AIR PARAMETER, the W must be selected in the field Verification air security.

ADMIN → ADDRESS QUALIFIER

In the address qualifiers, the check mark in the Airfreight security relevant column must be set for the qualifiers that are to be checked automatically.

Check addresses manually

In all AWB types (HAWB, MAWB, CONSOL, SMAWB, MHAWB and RES), a manual check can be started in all order addresses (A1-A9).

  • On each address field of the order entry, select the context menu entry: Validation in Union database on supply chain security.

The function Update Security status in the F6 menu checks all addresses activated for the automatic.

The function Validation of all security-related addresses in the context menu of the header data also checks all addresses activated for the automatic.
